Our cast iron entry rim lock is a reproduction of one of the first American made rim locks. All of the interior parts are solid brass. Everything is included to outfit your door. We recommend adding a deadbolt above when used on an entry door so that you won't have the 5" key in your pocket!
Right handed set shown.

3-1/8" x 4-3/4" x 5/8" (5-1/2" wide including keeper)
Description
Colonial American hardware was initially all wrought iron made by local blacksmiths. Even screws were handmade. Brass hardware was imported and was considerably more expensive. Undersized doorknobs were commonly used to conserve brass. Detailing was plain with the occasional turning of a doorknob foot. Locks were imported from England until about 1840.
Additional Information:
For increased security, install a deadbolt above the lock.
