The rice pattern was first produced by Yale and Towne of Stamford Connecticut around 1885. We collected the original antique hardware and remade the moulds. Casting is done in the original antique bronze using the same techniques used over 125 years ago. With time the bronze will acquire a statuary patina.  Images show the following finishes: Polished Bronze, Hand Antiqued Bronze.

Our Rice entry door set is made by reproducing the back plates from an antique original.  We developed a matching lever.  The set is made of solid cast bronze with japanned relief.  There is no lacquer so the set will acquire a statuary patina with time.  The lock and cylinder are sold separately.  The lock and strike plate are available with the Rice details.
