Stainless Steel Lag Mounted Rat Tail Shutter Dogs

Our stainless steel rat tail shutter dogs are a practical choice for houses that are near the coast, where salt water exposure is a fact of life. 

The design is simple and classic.  The 4" lag is suitable for wood and masonry applications.

Shutter dogs are also known as shutter stays, or shutter hold backs. They are both decorative and functional. They are gravity weighted to hold them in position.  One end is heavier than the other, and in the vertical position the top of the dog holds the shutter open.
